At Eventecho, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site and users of our mobile applications, applications and related services. In particular, we want you to know that Eventecho does not sell, rent or trade your personal information with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes or any other purposes unrelated to Eventecho. In the remainder of this document, we outline in detail, when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices of Eventecho, the website located at https://www.eventecho.com, the Eventecho mobile applications, and the related services, applications, and websites owned or operated by Eventecho Inc., and its corporate affiliates (collectively, "Eventecho", "we", "our", "us" or the "Service").

What Information We Collect

We collect information directly from individuals and automatically through Eventecho service. The types of information that we collect fall under two general categories:

Personally Identifiable Information (PII), which consists of any information which can be used to specifically identify you as an individual, such as your name, email, username, or a photo displaying you.

Non-personally identifiable information (non-PII), consists of aggregate information or any information that does not reveal your identity.

Account and Profile

When you create an account and profile on Eventecho, we collect your username, name, and email address. Your username, photo and other information that you add to your profile will be available for viewing to users of Eventecho. Once you become a user on Eventecho, other users will be able to see your profile information and activity on Eventecho, such as your bio and the events and crews your create. The amount of information shown is dependent on your profile's privacy setting as shown below in Privacy Controls.

The Content You Post

We collect and store the information and media content that you post to Eventecho, including your events, crews, photos, video and comments. The visibility of your content and information is controlled by your Privacy Controls. If your content visibility is set to 'public', it is viewable by all users of Eventecho and viewers not on Eventecho and may be indexed by search engines and be republished elsewhere on the Internet.

Communications with Eventecho

We may maintain a record of your communication if you contact us through email, phone, through Eventecho platforms, or otherwise.

Sign Ins with Your Email Provider

On Eventecho you are allowed to sign in with Apple, Google, or Microsoft. These are your email service providers. We use them to provide a secure means of signing in or signing up to Eventecho. We only collect and store the basic profile information (i.e. email address and name) shared from these service providers.

E-mail

We require an email address from you when you register for the Service. We use your email both for transactional purposes (e.g., activity updates such as notices that a user invited you on the Service) and for promotional purposes (e.g., newsletters, new product offerings, event notifications, special third-party offers). Email messages we send you may contain code that enables our database to track your usage of the emails, including whether the email was opened and what links (if any) were clicked. If you would rather not receive promotional emails from us, please see the section below labeled "Choice/Opt-Out". We reserve the right to send you certain communications, such as service announcements and administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them. We may also contact you by text message (including to any wireless number you may provide to us) solely in connection with the Service. If you would rather not receive text messages from us, you may change or delete your number from your "Account Settings" page, or ask to be removed from our contact list if you receive a call or text message from us. We fully comply with the requirements of the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.

Demographic Data

Demographic data is also collected by Eventecho. We use this data to tailor our visitors' experience, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences.

Online Survey Data

We may periodically conduct voluntary member surveys. We encourage our members to participate in such surveys because they provide us with important information regarding the improvement of Eventecho. You may also volunteer for certain surveys that we may offer to our users, and any additional rules regarding the conduct of such surveys will be disclosed to you prior to your participation.

Information Regarding Your Contacts

We offer facilities to help match your contacts' email addresses so that you can find your contacts on Eventecho, and invite your contacts who do not have Eventecho accounts to join.

Cookies, Logs and Other Automatically Collected Information

Cookies . Cookies are only used on our Eventecho website. For Eventecho, we use cookies to collect your timezone offset so that we can display times for an event or other content local to your current browser timezone. We also use a ShareThis plugin that makes use of cookies to track shares of pages from our website.
Log Files . Any time you access Eventecho, our servers automatically gather information from your browser or device. This information includes your IP addresses and browser type (if you are using a browser), device ID, location (if you have enabled this feature), Internet service provider (ISP) or wireless service provider, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks. We may use this information to analyze trends, administer the Eventecho service, prevent fraud, track visitor movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information. We also receive information when you view content on or otherwise interact with the Eventecho website, even if you have not created an account. We do not share this information externally.

How We Use Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes or any other purposes unrelated to Eventecho. The following describes how we use information on Eventecho.

To Provide You with This Service

The information you give to us is used to provide you with the services we offer on Eventecho, communicate with you about your use of Eventecho, to respond to your service inquiries, fix any issues you may have or other customer service purposes related to Eventecho.

Service Analytics

We use third-party analytics service providers (“Analytics Providers”), such as Google Analytics to help us analyze how users use Eventecho. We may change the Analytics Providers that we use from time to time.

Personalization

We use the content and information your provide to help us recommend content and posts that would be relevant to you, for example who to follow and what events to go to.

Marketing and Promotions

We may send you newsletters, new product offerings, event notifications and special offers as a part of our own marketing and promotion purposes. We may also contact you about third-party products or information we think that may be of interest to you.

Comply with Law and Prevent Misuse

We may use information we collect to comply with legal obligations or requests or orders from law enforcement, or any legal process or to protect or defend the rights or properties of Eventecho, its users or others. We may also use information when we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities and fraud, or to protect someone's health or safety.

How We Share Information

We are very keen on how we share your information. Information is only shared with parties associated with Eventecho and in certain situations as set out below and where individuals (you) have otherwise consented.

Protection of Rights and Legally Required

If we are required to do so by law (for example, in the case of an investigation, subpoenas or warrants), we may have to disclose your information. We may also disclose information in response to claims brought against us, to defend our terms of use, to prevent fraud, service assessments or investigations, and to protect or defend the rights or properties of Eventecho, our users or others.

Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party service providers of Eventecho. These would include hosting providers, customer service and support providers, external auditors, consultants or advisors.

Our Affiliates

Subject to this Privacy Policy, we may disclose information with our subsidiaries or affiliates of Eventecho, Inc.

Business Transfers

As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets and, depending on the transaction, your information may be one of the transferred assets. In the event that we are acquired by another company, your information may be part of the assets transferred to the acquiring party.

Anonymized and Aggregated Data

We may share your aggregated non-personally identifiable information with third parties for our own marketing, research, analytics or other purposes, but not in a manner that would reveal your identity.

No Advertising

We do not serve ads on behalf of third-party advertisers.

Your Content

Your username, profile picture, profile information and associated activity is available to other users on Eventecho to see subject to its visibility or Privacy Controls. If your profile or content visibility is 'public', both users and non-registered visitors are able to view this information. Non-registered visitors are also able to view content when you or other users share your content across other websites or services. The visibility of your content can be adjusted as outlined in Privacy Controls.

How We Protect Information

Because security of your information is important to us, we have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information we collect and store. We will exercise reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information between your computer or mobile device and our servers. We store your information on secure servers that are managed by us and our service providers, in the United States. However, because no information transmitted over the Internet is completely secure, we suggest that you also take measures to keep you personal information safe, such as choosing a strong login password and keeping it private as well as being careful with who you share posts with. We also urge you to sign out of Eventecho, if you are using a device that is shared or deemed unsecured.

Updating Your Information

You may change your information from the "Account Settings" from our mobile application. To the extent you choose to include personally identifiable information or other information in your profile, Eventecho allows you to update or remove that information by editing or deleting the content. You are also able to adjust the settings or display of information about your profile or content you post as described in the following section on Privacy Controls.

Privacy Controls

On Eventecho, we respect the privacy of your personal information and the content you post. As such, we devised controls that sets the amount of visibility information or content may have. These visibility controls are categorized as: Public, Private, Secret, Crew-Visible.

For most content that you will post, you may set its visibility to 'public', 'private', or 'crew-visible'. If it is set to 'public', anyone on or off Eventecho may view it. If an event is 'private', only the guests of the event may view it. Similarly, if a crew is 'private', only the members of the crew or approved followers may view it. When content is set to 'crew-visible', the members of the crew you are in may view it. Only an event can be secret. If it is set to 'secret', a pass-phrase will be needed to view the event.

Any sub-content (comments, photos, video or other media) posted to an event or crew or other parent content is subject to the parent's visibility setting.

In the case of an invitation sent via a link, unless its content was set to 'public', the invitation will request its viewer to sign in to Eventecho to fully evaluate their ability to view the content. While care must be taken when inviting people to events, crews, etc. via link from Eventecho, it is possible to make an invitation's shared link invalid, by tapping "Revoke Link".

Children's Privacy

Our age restrictions for Eventecho are set forth in our Terms of Use. We do not target any portion of our Service to children under the age of 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, any information we may receive from users we believe to be under the age of 13 will be purged from our database.

Data Transfer

Eventecho Inc. is a company headquartered and registered in the United Sates. The information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you reside outside the United States, in accessing or using Eventecho, the collection, transfer, use, storage and disclosure of your information, as described in this Privacy Policy is subject to and governed by US Law.

Links to Other Websites

Posts or user content on Eventecho may contain links to third party sites or online services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites or services, which are subject to their own privacy policies, not to this Privacy Policy.

Cookies, Web Beacons and Analytics

We use "cookies " to keep track of some types of information while you are visiting our website or using the service. Cookies are very small files transferred to your browser through our website. They have a unique identifier that allow us to distinguish repeat visitors from new visitors and personalize the website per visitor.

We use third-party analytics service providers, including such as Google Analytics to help us analyze how users or visitors use Eventecho. Subject to their own privacy policies, the information generated by your browser or device about your use of the Eventecho will be transmitted to and stored by the analytics provider.

Web beacons (also known as "clear gifs" and "pixel tags") are small transparent graphic images that are often used in conjunction with cookies. We may use web beacons to further personalize our website or email communications for our users and to collect a limited set of information about our visitors. We do not link the web beacons to any personally identifiable information.

Rights To Your Information

With respect to European Union data protection law (including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”), our Service is a ‘data controller’ of your personal information. As such you have rights to access your personal information as outlined below:

Changes to our Privacy Policy

Any information that is collected is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may, however, modify and revise our privacy policy from time-to-time.
